Iron Maiden has been my favorite band since 1982's release of The Number of the Beast. Partially due to their music I started playing guitar a year later and it's been a love of mine ever since. I've been playing in Tucson bands for over 10 years. After fronting such bands as MeRSA, Aviation Highway, and The Hanging Chads I've returned to playing guitar for Maiden. I fully believe Maiden will become Tucson's premier metal band.
I've always liked Iron Maiden, but I never really learned their songs before. Also, I did not believe that anyone would care about a tribute band for this kind of music. As it turns out, there is a big demand for this and a lot of musicians think it's a good idea. These guys are great musicians and i feel lucky to be working with them. I'm having a lot of fun in this project because i get to work with another guitar player which allows harmony and composite chord structures. Kevin and I have differing styles and approaches to the music which is good because that mimics the guitar players in Iron Maiden. As soon as Aaron plugged in I knew he was good. He is very versatile and dynamic with his sound and style. Doug has the hardest job and he is doing quite well. He has an incredible range and a great attitude (a rare quality).
